论坛代表出席紫禁城夜话活动

　　世界文明因交流而多彩因互鉴而丰富

　　为了在当今国际环境下研究和探讨世界文明古国文化遗产保护问题，促进文化遗产领域同仁的交流与合作，推动世界古代文明在当今人类社会发展中发挥持久作用，在文化部、新华通讯社、国家文物局的支持下，故宫博物院、北京故宫文物保护基金会于10月19日至20日主办“2016世界古代文明保护论坛”，中国考古学会、中国文物学会、新华通讯社国家高端智库为论坛举办提供协助。

　　来自国际文物保护与修复研究中心、国际博物馆协会、国际古迹遗址理事会及中国、埃及、希腊、印度、伊朗、伊拉克、意大利、墨西哥的约70位文化与外交官员、考古学家、历史学家和博物馆工作者出席论坛。

　　文化部部长雒树刚、国家文物局局长刘玉珠10月19日在故宫会见了参会代表。文化部副部长丁伟，新华通讯社副社长兼常务副总编周树春，国家文物局副局长顾玉才，外交部办公厅主任韩志强，伊拉克文化、旅游和文物部部长福亚德·F·哈桑，墨西哥驻华大使温立安先后在论坛开幕式上致辞。

　　雒树刚部长在会见代表时高度肯定了论坛的意义。他说，今天的社会非常需要弘扬人类的灿烂文明。世界文明因交流而多彩，因互鉴而丰富，文明只有在互鉴、互学中才能够共同繁荣发展。国之交在于民相亲，民相亲在于心相通，大家聚集到故宫来，就是做这种民相亲、心相通的活动。非常感谢大家为世界古代文明保护献计献策，为当今世界如何进一步弘扬古代文明、弘扬当今的文化价值做出贡献。

　　新华通讯社副社长兼常务副总编周树春指出，当前文化遗产保护工作依然任重道远，工业化、城镇化发展过程使文化遗产保护面临新的挑战。新闻媒体是文化遗产保护的重要力量，致力于建设国际一流的新型世界性通讯社的新华社将依托遍布全球的200多个机构组成的采集网络，通过多种语言，挖掘、弘扬和传播世界各国那些跨越时空、超越国度、富有永恒魅力、具有当代价值的文化遗产，促进世界各种文明交流交融、互学互鉴，不断丰富人类文明的色彩。

　　国家文物局副局长顾玉才表示，保护和珍视人类文明共有的精神财富，呵护和传承各文明的文化遗产，使之成为人类社会可持续发展的不竭动力，不仅是我们当代人肩负的义不容辞的责任，更是各文明古国对于未来必须担当的重大使命。近年来，在文化遗产保护领域中国与世界各国的交流合作越来越多，中国正在以更加积极的姿态参加国际文化遗产保护，越来越有力地参与、推动世界文化遗产保护事业的发展，这次论坛的举办就是一个具体的体现。

　　外交部办公厅主任韩志强代表中华人民共和国外交部对此次论坛的成功召开表示热烈祝贺。他说，故宫博物院在有关方面的支持下发起世界古代文明保护论坛，为世界文明保护与发展提供非常好的交流合作平台。相信在各位与会代表的共同努力下，本次论坛一定能够深入研讨，凝聚共识，为人类文明的保护传承与发展贡献智慧和力量。中国政府高度重视古代文明保护工作，支持有关国际交流与合作，积极参与不同文明与文化间的对话，中国外交部愿在这方面一如既往，继续做出自己的努力。

　　第十二届全国人民代表大会常务委员会委员、全国人大外事委员会主任委员傅莹表示，她很高兴故宫博物院组织了这次论坛，因为文化也许是21世纪最重要的动力，是一种新的态度。通过文化，我们能真正地理解对方，理解每种文明的精髓。对于那些仍然拥有祖先留下的遗产的国家来说，我们真的应该珍惜它们，应该使它们得到本国和其他国家人民的欣赏，所有的文明都应该得到公众尤其是新一代的更多关注。

　　论坛包括大会主旨发言、分场论坛、紫禁城夜话等环节。分场论坛围绕“针对世界古代文明保护当前亟待采取的措施”“世界古代文明遗产领域交流合作的规划与前景”“世界古代文明保护的挑战与机遇”3个议题进行。论坛通过充分深入的交流与对话，加深了与会代表对世界古代文明保护传承现状及所面临挑战与机遇的相互了解，积极探索了在当今国际形势下推动各国文化遗产保护传承工作及古代文明的国际交流与合作的途径。

　　经协商一致，代表们共同发起并签署了《太和宣言》，即未来通过举办文化发展论坛，举办文物交流展览以及其他相关活动，举办学术研讨会以及其他相关活动，携手应对世界文化遗产保护所面临的共同问题，联合探讨人类文明可持续传承的有效途径。

　　The Declaration of Supreme Harmony

　　我们客观评价世界民众有目共睹的历史事实：人类古老文明的延绵传承，是推动全球文化繁荣和促进世界和平发展的重要动力;世界文化遗产的保护发展，是增进国际文化交流和形塑民族记忆认同的重要因素。

　　We objectively judge these historical facts known to people throughout the world：continuously inheriting humanity's historical civilization is an important driving force in promoting cultural prosperity and peaceful development around the world，and protecting and developing the world's cultural heritage plays a major part in boosting international cultural exchanges and shaping a nation's memory and identity.

　　我们清醒认识人类古老文明传承面临的冲击：军事战争带来野蛮破坏，古国文明遭遇生死存亡;全球化浪潮下文化冲突加剧，文化遗产保护道路艰险异常;自然灾害的不可抗力则从古至今潜藏着威胁。

　　We clearly recognize the problems facing efforts to inherit historical civilization：wars cause barbarous destruction，threatening the existence of ancient civilizations;the tide of globalisation has intensified cultural conflicts，jeopardising the path of cultural heritage preservation;and throughout history the irresistible power of natural disasters has posed dangers.

　　我们一致认为有效地保护和传承人类古老文明，对当代世界和平和人类进步具有不可或缺的作用和意义：多彩，应是世界文化繁荣发展的生动写照;平等，应是民族艺术形态多样的真实面貌;和谐，应为人类文明兼收并蓄的理想画卷。

　　We agree that effectively protecting and inheriting historical civilizations is essential to contemporary world peace and human progress：the prosperity and development of world cultures is vividly reflected in diversity;the multiple forms of national arts are truly showcased in equality;and the all-encompassing nature of human civilizations is ideally captured in harmony.

　　基于上述共识，我们来自中国、埃及、希腊、印度、伊拉克、伊朗、意大利、墨西哥等国家的文化代表和来自国际古迹遗址保护、国际文物保护修复、国际博物馆管理诸领域的文明使者相聚紫禁城，积极参与“世界古代文明保护论坛” (The World's Ancient Civilizations Protection Forum)，携手应对世界文化遗产保护所面临的共同问题，联合探讨人类文明可持续传承的有效途径。宣言如下：

　　Based on the aforementioned consensus，cultural representatives of China，Egypt，Greece，India，Iran，Iraq，Italy，Mexico and other countries and scholars in fields including international monument and site conservation，international cultural heritage preservation and restoration，and international museum management have gathered at the Palace Museum for The World's Ancient Civilizations Protection Forum.We seek to join hands to deal with the problems facing the protection of world cultural heritage，and to discuss and explore effective and sustainable ways to pass on human civilizations.The Declaration is as follows：

　　文明古国中的文化遗产，记录着古国文明的发展历程，是古国文明特性的表现，是古国文明精神的表述，是古国文明核心价值观的表达。我们号召，在全球文化遗产保护框架内，文明古国应该率先交流起来，通过举办文化发展论坛，发出保护古国文明的共同呼吁，形成传承古老文明的和平倡议。

　　The cultural heritage of countries with great ancient civilizations records the history of their development.It embodies the features，spirits and core values of these ancient civilizations.We appeal to countries with great ancient civilizations to take the lead in communicating with each other within the framework of worldwide cultural heritage preservation，and to hold a forum on cultural development in order to formulate a peaceful proposal for carrying forward the world's ancient civilizations and to together call on the world to protect historic civilizations.

　　在漫长的历史演变中，人类创造丰富多彩的文明，它们交往融合，延绵发展，留下了数量众多的文化遗迹，构成一幅幅波澜壮阔的历史图景。我们提议，在国家文化发展战略框架内，文明古国可以率先合作起来，通过举办文物交流展览以及其他相关活动，迈出传承古国文明的坚定步伐，促成文明古国之间建立起通畅的交流渠道。

　　Through the long transformations of history，human beings have created rich and diverse civilizations that have integrated with each other， continuously developed，and left a great number of cultural sites，forming a wealth of magnificent images of history.We propose that countries with great ancient civilizations take the lead in cooperating within the strategic framework of national cultural development.This involves taking a firm step towards inheriting ancient civilizations and helping to build barrier-free communication channels between ancient civilizations by holding cultural heritage exhibitions and other similar activities.

　　古国文明可以承接历史、联结当下、开启未来，世界各国尤其是文明古国应该站在更广阔的时空节点上，认真审视艺术文化在民族国家交往中的独特意涵。我们期待，在全球发展战略合作框架内，文明古国能够率先行动起来，通过举办学术研讨会以及其他相关活动，形成传播古国文明的深刻诠释，唤起跨越文明的对话和跨越种族的认同。

　　Ancient civilizations can link the past with the present and inspire the future.Countries all over the world，especially those with time-honoured civilizations，can adopt wider temporal and spatial perspectives from which to review the unique significance of art and culture for communications between nations.We hope that，within the framework of global development and strategic cooperation，countries with great ancient civilizations will take the lead in interpreting and disseminating ancient civilizations and hosting academic symposiums and other similar activities.In this way we can stimulate trans-civilization dialogues and identification across national boundaries.

　　为切实推动本宣言的各项内容和目标，我们承诺，将更深入地探索古国文明的起源、发展过程及其规律，努力寻求互联互通、互学互鉴、互利互惠的繁荣之路。我们承诺，将更深刻地理解文明古国的交流、合作模式及其规律，努力实现文化自信、文化包容和文化复兴的共同梦想。

　　To truly fulfil the tasks and objectives of this Declaration，we promise that we will carry out in-depth research on the origin，development process and patterns of ancient civilizations，and intensify efforts to understand the flourishing path of connection，mutual learning and mutual benefit.We also promise that we will more deeply explore the forms and patterns of exchange and cooperation between ancient civilizations and do our best to realize the common dreams of cultural confidence， inclusiveness and rejuvenation.
